ORIGINAL USS TRUMPETFISH SS425 ASSOCIATION ORGANIZATION
  AS DEVELOPED
BY THE 2004-2005 USS TRUMPETFISH REUNION
PLANNING COMMITTEE.

USS TrumpetfishSS425 Association was formed at the first meeting of the                                       USS TRUMPETFISH 2005 Reunion Planning Committee by a committee of past
Trumpetfish shipmates and their wives who volunteered to plan the 2005
Reunion in the North Charleston, SC Clarion Hotel.

The name was developed through discussion of the committee, voted on, and
adopted.  The USS TRUMPETFISH SS425 ASSOCIATION was formed primarily to
provide accountability to all past Trumpetfish Crewmembers for all future
activities and endeavors.

As is common practice in other Submarine Associations, past Trumpetfish
crewmembers are invited to, and encouraged to join the
USS TRUMPETFISH SS425 ASSOCIATION.  The committee established a nominal
annual membership fee of $10.00 to become a member.  These funds will aid
in the costs of publishing newsletters, mailing costs, and helping fund the
hospitality room at reunions.  All past Trumpetfish crewmembers are
encouraged to participate in the USS TRUMPETFISH SS425 ASSOCIATION.

The USS TRUMPETFISH SS425 ASSOCIATION officers and their wives worked
very diligently to make the 2005 Trumpetfish Reunion interesting, memorable,
fun, and a big success.  Multiple advertising was made through military
magazines and through communication to all past crewmembers by email and
snail mail.  A large number of crewmembers were expected at the 2005
reunion, and many activities were lined-up for everyone’s enjoyment.

The 2005 Planning Committee did everything possible to make everyones visit
to Charleston for the Reunion to be exciting and one you wouldn’t want to
miss.  The best part of a reunion is the fellowship, sea stories, and seeing
how well our shipmates  have fared through all these years.  These times of
being back together and reminiscing about the old times make these events
priceless.

Investigation into becoming an incorporated association resulted in an
economical venture.  Application was made with the state of South Carolina,
and the Federal Government.    The request was approved, association
by-laws were written, and a new  formal name of USS TRUMPETFISH SS425
VETERAN'S ASSOCIATION INC. was unanamously approved during the 2005
Reunion Business Meeting.  Donations to the Association are tax deductable.
